A view over your folder, not a vault.
Most tools keep your meetings in their index and let you search it through their app. The Library is the other way round: the markdown files in your folder are the record, and the Library is a fast way to read and search them.
Search titles, notes and transcripts. Open a meeting and read it as it was written. Reveal the file in Finder, because the Library and the folder are the same thing. Nothing is indexed anywhere else.

Search a phrase and land on the line in the transcript, with its timestamp and which side said it.

Decisions and action items are sections in every file. The Library shows them without opening the whole transcript.

A vendor call from three months ago, the price that was quoted, the date that was promised. It is in the transcript, on your Mac.
What is in the Library?
Every call you recorded with NoteHand: title, source app, date, duration, the generated notes and the full transcript. Alongside each one, the recordings themselves stay on the Mac until you delete the meeting.
It is not a separate copy of your notes. The Library reads the markdown files in your export folder, so what you see is what is on disk. Delete a meeting and its recording, transcript and notes are gone from the Mac.

Why it stays simple
Same list, two places
The Library is a window, and also a panel in the menu bar popover. Same meetings, same search, whichever is closer.
Reveal the file
Right-click any meeting to show its markdown file in Finder. Open it in your editor and the Library reflects the change.
Delete means delete
Remove a meeting and the recording, transcript and notes are gone from the Mac. Your exported markdown stays until you remove it.

How far back does the Library go?
To your first recorded call. Every meeting recorded with the app is there until you delete it.
Does search leave the Mac?
No. Search runs over the files on your Mac. There is no server-side index because there is no server.
Can I search from Spotlight instead?
Yes. The notes are ordinary markdown files in your folder, so Spotlight indexes them like any other document.
What happens on a new Mac?
Migration Assistant carries the Library over with the rest of your data. The markdown files are the portable copy either way.
