NoteHand
$19
USD · once
- Every feature, every update
- No monthly or yearly fee, ever
- No account. Nothing to cancel
- First three meetings free, no card
A one-time in-app purchase through the Mac App Store. Restore it on any Mac signed in with the same Apple ID.
Over time
What you pay us over the next five years.
Most meeting assistants charge per person, per month, for as long as you use them. We charge once, because there is no server behind this app to keep paying for.
One price
Everything is in it. Nothing is behind a tier.
What the $19 unlocks
- RecordingFrom Zoom, Teams, Meet, FaceTime, Slack and Discord, or anything the Mac can hear with ⌘⇧R.
- Transcription on the MacWhisper on the device, in any model size you choose. Unlimited meetings, unlimited minutes.
- CoachLive help during the call, every few minutes, pinned above the meeting.
- Notes as markdownSummary, decisions, action items and open questions, written to your folder after every call.
- DictationHold a key and talk, into any app on the Mac.
- The LibraryEvery call searchable, with the transcript, on your Mac.
- Every updateNew features and fixes arrive as updates to the same app. No version 2 to buy.
What you will never be charged for
- A subscriptionThere is no monthly or yearly plan. There is nothing to cancel because there is nothing recurring.
- SeatsThe price is for a person, not a headcount. Add a colleague and they pay $19 too, once.
- Minutes or meetingsTranscription runs on your Mac, so there is no meter and no cap.
- Coach or "AI features"Coach is in the price. It is not a higher tier.
- StorageYour notes are files in your folder. We are not storing them, so we are not charging for them.
- NotesThe default notes model is free and runs on the Mac. If you choose to use your own OpenAI or Anthropic key instead, that provider bills you directly and we see none of it.
Why once is enough
A one-time price is possible because nothing runs on our side.
Transcription is on your Mac
Subscription notetakers pay for servers to process your audio, every call, forever. Here the Mac does the work. Our cost does not grow with your meetings, so your price does not either.
Notes come from a model you control
A free local model through Ollama by default. Your own OpenAI or Anthropic key if you prefer. Either way we are not reselling anyone's API, so there is no margin to collect monthly.
There are no accounts to run
No sign-up, no login, no dashboard, no database of your conversations. The things a subscription usually pays to keep alive are simply not here.

Questions
The ones we get asked about the price.
Is it really a one-time payment?
Yes. USUS$19 once. There is no monthly or yearly plan and no renewal. Nothing about the app is rented.
What does "forever" include?
The app, every feature in it, and every update we ship to it. There is no paid upgrade tier and no version 2 to buy. If we ever changed that, it would be for a different product, not this one.
Do I have to pay before trying it?
No. Download it, record your first three meetings with everything switched on, and decide afterwards. No account and no card until you choose to buy.
I have two Macs. Do I pay twice?
On the Mac App Store the unlock is tied to your Apple ID. Sign in on the other Mac and restore the purchase.
Are notes free too?
With the default local model, yes: it runs on your Mac and costs nothing. If you choose to use your own OpenAI or Anthropic key, that provider bills you for the tokens under your account. We are not in that transaction.
Is there a team plan with shared notes?
No. Shared notes would mean storing your conversations on our servers. Each person pays $19 and shares files the way they already share files.
Can we roll it out to company Macs?
Yes. The App Store version works with Apple Business Manager and any device management tool. BITSUMMIT can pre-load the speech model and set a standard notes provider for everyone. Write to sales@bitsummit.ca.
What if I want a refund?
Purchases through the Mac App Store follow Apple's refund process, which you start from your Apple account. For the direct download, write to app.support@bitsummit.com and a person will reply.
What happens to my notes if I stop using it?
They are markdown files in your folder, sorted by year and month. They stay there. There is no subscription to cancel and nothing to export.
